Welcome to mydoggy.ai. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information when you use our websites and products that feature AI dog characters. The short version: we collect only what we need to run a wholesome, family friendly product. We do not sell personal information. We do not show targeted advertising to children.

This page is written for clarity first. If anything here conflicts with applicable law, that law controls. mydoggy.ai is the controller for your personal information unless stated otherwise in a product specific notice.

What we collect

Sensitive data

We do not ask for or intentionally collect health data, biometric templates, or government IDs unless a verified adult chooses a high assurance age verification flow. In that case the vendor processes the images and returns only an age band token to us. We do not keep ID images.

How we use information

• Provide the service, including generating safe conversations with AI dog characters.
• Safety and moderation, for example filtering profanity, sexual content, bullying, self harm topics, and illegal requests.
• Account management, parental controls, and age gates.
• Security and fraud prevention.
• Product analytics in aggregate to improve quality. We prefer on device and privacy preserving analytics when available.
• Legal compliance and enforcement, such as responding to valid law enforcement requests that meet legal standards.

Age assurance and minors

How age is checked

• Default: a light age gate that stores an age band token such as 13plus. We do not store full dates of birth in cookies.
• Optional for guardians: stronger checks such as cardholder adult token, carrier check, or selfie age estimation provided by a vendor. The vendor returns only an age band assertion to us.

Parental consent

For users under 13 we require verified consent from a parent or legal guardian before account creation, except for limited one time use that does not collect personal information beyond a persistent identifier that is strictly necessary to provide the service.

Child safety

• No romantic content. No sexual content. No self harm instructions. The dog will redirect to safety resources when needed.
• Default time caps and rest prompts for minors. Guardians can set stricter limits.
• Guardians can view summaries of topics or disable transcripts. We do not enable child to child chat.

Cookies and similar technologies

• Essential cookies for session management, security, and age band assertions.
• Analytics cookies that are privacy friendly and aggregated. You can opt out from settings or by sending a Global Privacy Control signal. See https://globalprivacycontrol.org
• We do not use third party advertising trackers on child directed experiences.

Data sharing

We share information only with the following categories of recipients and only for the purposes described here.

• Cloud infrastructure and storage providers.
• Content safety and moderation vendors.
• Optional age assurance vendors when a guardian selects that method.
• Customer support tools.
• Legal recipients when required by law with proper process.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross context behavioral advertising.

Retention

• Child chat logs: up to 30 days by default, then deletion or aggregation. Guardians can set a shorter period.
• General chat logs: up to 90 days, then deletion or aggregation.
• Security logs: up to 180 days unless needed to investigate abuse.
• Age band assertions in cookies: up to 30 days, then recheck.

Your choices and rights

You can access, download, or delete your data from settings or by contacting us. We will verify the request and respond as required by law.

California residents have the following rights:

• Right to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information and we do not share personal information for cross context behavioral advertising.
• Right to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not use sensitive personal information for additional purposes.

EEA and UK residents

• Legal bases include performance of a contract, legitimate interests such as safety and security, and consent where required.
• You may have rights to access, delete, restrict, object, and data portability. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority.

Security

• Encryption in transit and at rest for stored content.
• Least privilege access controls and audit logging.
• Bug bounty and regular security reviews.

No system is perfectly secure. If we discover a breach that affects your data we will notify you and relevant authorities as required by law.

International data transfers

We store data in the United States and may process data in other countries using appropriate transfer safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses. Contact us for a copy of relevant terms.

Model training

We improve our models using aggregated and de identified data. We do not use the content of child accounts to train models unless a verified guardian opts in from settings.

We will post any changes on this page and update the date at the top. If the changes are material we will provide an in product notice or email.
